Day Three, survived the all afternoon marathon meeting in a cramped overly warm room. Why are hotel meeting rooms always too cold, or more than likely too warm. It’s hard enough to stay awake without making it toasty, no sweaty in there. Tomorrow the trade show starts, yay.

This is across the strip strip walking back from the Flamingo to the Imperial Palace.

This is the view from my room, well the slice of it worth looking at.

We met one of our Principals at Toby Keith’s I love This Bar, conveniently located next door at Harrah’s.

The drinks were expensive, but the food was reasonable and actually pretty good. Toby was nice enough to take a picture with me.

Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort Hotel

It is 5:30 AM and I’ve just woken up from my third night at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort. I’m glad to be going home today but certainly not because I don’t like this hotel. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my career as a Manufacturer’s Representative and this ranks as one of the best.

Too bad I am not on a motorcycle ride, but if I was I’d be staying somewhere else. I’d probably be camping somewhere, or even at a cheaper hotel or motel. This is one of those hotels that if you have to ask the price, you won’t be staying here. But as a guest of a major international corporation attending a 3 day national sales meeting, I am not paying the bill.

The rooms are decent sized, and quiet. A wide screen TV and in room coffee is included. The bed is PLUSH. In fact, I had trouble sleeping. It is hard to believe, but I sleep better in a less plush bed, or in my tent. This is definitely a higher rent district than I am used too.

The staff here is fantastic. Everyone that works here greets you courteously from the front desk clerks to the janitors. The food has been excellent, and if you have eaten any banquet meals served for 300 people you know that is saying something.

There is a golf course and garden outside, and there really is a lake. I haven’t seen them though. It hasn’t stopped raining since I arrived and our host has kept us very busy. My wife and I did get over to Las Vegas to see Cirque Du Soleil Love at the Mirage and if you are Beatles fan, it is a must see.

If you are a corporation looking to host a meeting, want to stay in a 5 star resort, enjoy excellent service, food and amenities than this place is for you. If you are into going to Las Vegas for the strip, shows and excitement, it is about 17-18 miles out in Henderson, so you would want to consider that in your planning.

I give this place a thumbs up and hope to stay here again.
